Moncton is thrilled to co-host the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship, with the provinces of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, and the Halifax Regional Municipality!
This upcoming December and January, fans from all over will have the chance to live an unforgettable hockey experience on and off the ice! Come enjoy games featuring the world’s best under-20 hockey players and take part in the activities planned as part of the community festival surrounding the tournament!

The pre-tournament schedule for the 2023 IIHF World Juniors Championship is now available!
Canada will open its exhibition schedule with games at the Avenir Centre on December 19 against Switzerland and against Slovakia on December 21.

Volunteering Opportunities
Interested in volunteering at the upcoming IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Moncton?

Where to buy tickets
Single-game tickets are now available and on sale to the public.
Limited tournament ticket packages also remain available for the 2023 IIHF World Junior Championship games in Halifax and Moncton.

Moncton 15-game ticket packages start at $575 plus fees, and include:
🎫 one ticket to all 10 preliminary-round games in Moncton featuring Latvia, Finland, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the United States
🎫 one ticket to the two quarter finals played in Moncton
🎫 one ticket to each pre-tournament game at the Avenir Centre, including the two Team Canada matches against Switzerland and Slovakia respectively.

World Juniors Community Festival
A community festival will be held in celebration of the World Junior Championship.
Downtown Place, located next to the Avenir Centre, will become the main community festival grounds. This prime community space will be decked out in tournament colours and animated with free and accessible activities!
What can you expect to find at the community festival?
Throughout the festival, everyone is invited to:
✳️ ring in 2023 at the New Year's Eve Party 🎉, with The Mellotones and a fireworks display 🎇;
✳️ celebrate with food, music 🎵 and friends, all while supporting local charities, at the Moncton Market series;
✳️ enjoy outdoor concerts featuring regional talent before and after games;
✳️ attend live viewing parties of Halifax games on large outdoor screens 📽️ (fans won’t want to miss the Semi Finals and Finals viewing parties on January 4 and 5!);
✳️ skate on the Ian Fowler Oval rink ⛸️ while enjoying live music or a live hockey game on the outdoor screens;
✳️ delight their tastebuds by visiting one of the food vendors on site; and more!
Team Canada
Team Canada will play two games at Moncton’s Avenir Centre during the pre-tournament:

Selection Camp
Team Canada will gather at the Avenir Centre in Moncton for a four-day selection camp from December 9-12 before selecting a final roster ahead of the World Juniors.
